Was Prince Harry Not Ready For The Wedding?
Prince Harry and Meghan Markle got engaged after just a year of being together. According to a royal author, it was due to the Duchess’ ‘biological clock ticking.’ Royal watchers know that the duo first met on a blind date in 2016. And announced their engagement the following year. They even had a star-studded wedding at Windsor Castle in May 2018.
This rapid progression in their relationship reportedly caused concern for Prince William. As per reports, William dated Kate Middleton for almost eight years before asking her to marry him. So, for obvious reasons, the Prince of Wales was nervous about his brother’s speedy relationship. He feared that Meghan might find it challenging to adjust to royal life in such a short time frame.
However, Prince Harry dismissed all the concerns and rushed into popping the question. In royal author Tina Brown’s book – The Palace Papers, she revealed that William was apprehensive about Meghan being unprepared for the intense scrutiny and harassment that comes with being a Royal. But Harry remained adamant as Meghan was getting older and the duo planned to have kids as soon as possible.
