This week, the Emmerdale spoilers are packed with suspense, thrills, and revelations, and they are here to shake you to the core. While Belle finds her way back to happiness, there’s something going terribly wrong with Ruby. Elsewhere, Moira and Cain’s relationship is at a standstill while Marlon’s worries about April only tend to rise – and we see romantic sparks flying between Jacob and Sarah. Seems like it’s going to be a heart-racing Christmas at the Dales and even a thrilling start to the New Year.
Christmas Week: December 23 to December 27
December 23 – 30-minute episode at 7:30 pm
The week starts with Marlon and April’s relationship battles, as April’s rebellious behavior worries her father. Next, we see Peter visiting Home Farm to meet Will Taylor and pressure him to implement the Christmas Day scheme. Elsewhere, Bob Hope gets furious as he has to deal with Brenda Walker and Wendy Posner’s constant bickering at Heath’s memorial concert.
Belle is suspicious of her pet dog, Piper, as she has never seen the body, even after Tom claims his death. Later, she and Vinny dig up the grave only to find that nobody is in it. Belle is anxious, wondering where Piper is. Next, we see romantic sparks flying between Sarah Sudgen and Jacob Gallagher.
December 24 – 30-minute episode at 7 pm
On Christmas Eve, April keeps on pushing boundaries and even gets drunk in front of her family. On another note, Belle thinks of visiting Tom to find out about Piper’s whereabouts. And, we see Ruby getting unsettled as Christmas Day gets close – but we still don’t know what is bothering her.
December 25 – 30-minute episode at 6:30 pm
On Christmas Day, we see Marlon getting more worried for April and ultimately lands in shock. And as for Home Farm, we only see a Christmas tree lying on the ground and hear creepy music playing along. Seems like there has been a struggle in this scene – and we can’t help but wonder if Will has already taken his revenge on Kim.
Next, we see Belle visiting her dad, Zak’s grave – but she doesn’t know about the surprise waiting for her. All of a sudden, Piper runs over to her – turns out, Vinny and Gabby found him after all. There are no bounds to Belle’s happiness! Later, everyone arrives at The Mill for the Christmas dinner.
December 26 – Hour-long episode at 6:30 pm
First April’s weird behavior and now the drinking issue – Marlon couldn’t be more worried about April. At the Home Farm, we sense trouble – but there is still no direct hint of what has happened. The episode wraps with Cain setting aside his worries – it seems like he is still hiding about his secret fling with Ruby.
December 27 – 30-minute episode at 7:30 pm
As Christmas wraps up, spoilers hint at danger for Ross Barton and Marlon Dingle. Next, we see Ruby becoming more suspicious—but we still don’t know who that person is. We see her mainly with her daughter, Stephanie, now. Can it be her? Elsewhere, we see Lydia Dingle worried and stressed over a major issue.
New Year’s Week: December 30 to January 3
December 30th – 30-minute episode at 7:30 pm
The drama continues for Marlon, who has had a terrible start to the New Year. However, good things are in line, as Jacob plans a date with Sarah. Unfortunately, Leyla intervenes and makes a lunch plan with him instead. Sarah is upset as Jacob stands her – and we can’t help but think if Leyla did it all intentionally. Later, we see Anthony Fox overhearing a conversation, but we can’t see who they are on the other side.
December 31 – 30-minute episode at 7:45 pm
There is still no light at the end of the tunnel for Marlon, as he still can’t solve things with his daughter. Whereas Anthony learns a secret, and the next thing we see is Ruby in tears. As the episode ends, we see five flash-forwards lining up and teasing the upcoming episodes.
January 1, 2025 – 30-minute episode at 6:30 pm
The New Year begins with Cain and Moira Dingle going on a lunch date before their hospital visit the next day. Will this pair come through and save their relationship? On another note, Ruby chugs down the champagne – something is wrong with her. Mid-way, we see Jacob trying to make things right with Sarah as he apologizes. Will Sarah agree to go on the next date with him as Leyla almost gate-crashed the first one? The episode comes to a heart-breaking end where we see Bob breaking down on the anniversary of Heath’s death.
January 2, 2025 – Hour-long episode at 7 pm
The episode begins by focusing on Jacob, who goes to the hospital on his first day as the trainee doctor. Much to his surprise, he has to get into the A&E department where lives are at stake – which makes him go almost numb. Eventually, it seems like everything is going wrong with him as Jacob can’t decide what to do and is only a couple of steps away from questioning his capabilities. Elsewhere, Moira and Cain go for the scheduled appointment regarding her brain tumor treatment.
January 3, 2025 – 30-minute episode at 7:30 pm
The week ends with Chas trying hard to get at the root of Ruby’s behavior, as she seems agitated and is definitely developing a drinking problem. Eventually, we will see Ruby breaking through her silence. Later, we see Jacob still trying to hang strong in the A&E department while Marlon and Rhona are at a crossroads as the conflict between them grows.
