Coronation Street spoilers have revealed Toyah’s unexpected reaction once Leanne’s revenge plot is revealed. As we know, Leanne is already planning revenge on her sister, and on Christmas Day, Toyah is about to get the ultimatum. We will soon see police coming in to arrest her on the Bistro fraud case. But it seems like the tables can soon turn, and Toyah and Nick will soon connect the dots.
The Tables Are About to Turn
We all saw that Leanne recently opened a fake bank account in Toyah’s name and transferred some funds from the Bistro account. Now, as the police arrive, both Toyah and Nick eventually get framed and land at the police station. However, it seems like the pair have finally connected the dots and realized that every problem somehow brings them back to Leanne. As expected, Nick is all for placing charges on Toyah and getting her in.
But we are surprised to see Toyah’s reaction. When she hears that Lauren will be up for trial, she feels sorry for her. Soon, however, it strikes her that if they report Leanne to the police, she will have to endure similar troubles. As a sister, Toyah cannot let her sister go through all this and begs Nick to let Leanne off the hook with the police.
What Georgia Said About Toyah’s Reaction
Georgia said while discussing Toyah’s sympathy, “It’s interesting because Toyah and Nick have different responses. Toyah feels great compassion for Leanne, and because she is quite forgiving, she wants to do anything to stop her sister from getting into more trouble and causing her more pain. Meanwhile, Nick has had enough. This is the straw that broke the camel’s back for him. He’s quite determined to take Leanne down, which will cause some conflict between Nick and Leanne.”
Additionally, she said, “They have been through so much, but this is the next level, and the way things are going, it’s going to take a very long time. But I really do hope they can come back together. Things are definitely not great in the Battersby camp, but I think there’s too much history there not to have them back together. I don’t know, this is her sister’s ex.
Maybe in the future, if Leanne moves on with somebody else and can be happy with a new partner.” However, it will be interesting to see whether Nick and Toyah’s relationship can survive the hurdle.
