The latest Coronation Street spoilers hint at a major dilemma for Lauren as she can’t decide whether or not to plead guilty. Previously, we have seen Joel disappearing mysteriously and then getting murdered, only for his body to be found in the canal. There was a major suspect play, and ultimately, Lauren came clean for it. Though Max Turner tried his best to take the blame on himself, Lauren’s conscience came in the way.
But now, the day of the trial is near, and Lauren Bolton fears the prospect of a lengthy sentence. We already know what Lauren is going through with Frankie. Frankie is suffering from aplastic anemia, and his body is bruised – and till now, there’s no donor. Though Dee-Dee has shown Lauren a ray of hope to help with her unborn child as a donor, we still don’t know if that will work. Even the thought of being away from Frankie is probably giving her chills in such a situation.
Lauren Finally Decides
In the recent episode, we saw Lauren discussing her options with the lawyer, who disclosed that the prosecution was very rude. There is also a probability that her past might get involved, which has thrown her off for now. She cannot figure out what to do and confides in Max, saying nobody would believe she’s innocent. She also told him about her decision to plead guilty to spare herself from the pain of the insult. But Max wasn’t up for it.
Instead, Max asks her to reconsider her decision, as Frankie’s life is also involved. He even tells her that Frankie will always think of her as a murderer once Gus and Anthea take him away. Max even went to lengths to reassure her how the jury would count on the assault Joel did to her, which ultimately led to the murder. And thankfully, Lauren ended up changing her decision. Later, we see Max sharing Lauren’s decision not to plead guilty with Dee-Dee, but her remark adds to his tension.
Will Lauren again have a breakdown at the court, as she has been through so much already? Even though she had to kill Joel, we know there was no way out – he was a devil. But how will she end up proving herself innocent? Only the upcoming Coronation Street spoilers can tell. Stay tuned to Soap Opera Daily for that. Meanwhile, let us know your speculations regarding Lauren’s final verdict.
