Coronation Street producer Kate Brooks has revealed that two new Corrie characters will be coming to the cobbles soon. That’s not all – she also confirmed that these two will bring a storm to Chesney, Gemma, and Kit’s life. Recently, we saw what the Winter family went through. First, it was Paul’s death from motor neuron disease, Billy’s breakdown, and last but not least, Les’ death at work. Just as the family is getting their lives together, a new twist is in line for them.
Names of New Corrie Characters Revealed
Kate Brooks revealed that Mick and Lou are the two new characters who will appear in the soap. Additionally, she has also hinted that these two may not be seen in positive roles. While talking, she also shared that they will be living very close to the Winter family at Mawdsley Street, very near Gemma and Chesney’s family on No. 5. When asked for further details, Brooks shared that these two would soon stir up a lot of trouble, especially for Chesney and Kit.
Initially, they will be after Chesney, but later, they will also open the floodgates for Kit Green. We can all recall the mystery van-man who was after Chesney for a long time – is this somehow linked to that? As for Kit, we have no clue yet as he has been into so many complexities of late. Kate has even referred to these upcoming duo as the ‘neighbours from hell’ – so we can expect something very big very soon.
Kate also gave us a hint about what their behaviour would be like. She mentioned that they would be too likable and overfamiliar and soon develop a great friendship with Chesney and Gemma. Kate also appreciated the brilliance of these new actors and revealed that these duo will leave a trail of devastation behind. According to her, this pair will debut in February 2025, and we can’t wait to enjoy this upcoming chaos.
