Meghan Markle might’ve had a royal title once, but when it comes to New Year’s resolutions, she’s just like the rest of us – prone to a little backlash! The Duchess of Sussex reportedly wanted to ditch an ‘unladylike’ habit as part of her New Year goals. Meghan Markle Vows To Quit THIS Habit
The Duchess previously shared that she attempted to quit one ‘unladylike; habit on her former lifestyle blog. While discussing her plans while stepping into a new year, Meghan Markle highlighted that she wanted to stop biting her nails – as well as something that happens after “a couple of drinks.” All of this happened a few months before she met her future husband, Prince Harry.
She wrote on her blog in 2016, “Run a marathon. Stop biting my nails. Stop swearing. Re-learn French. These make up my New Year’s resolution list nearly every year.” She also mentioned that the marathon hasn’t happened and the swearing comes in after being overworked after a few drinks. As for learning French, she studied it in high school but lost touch with it, so she wanted to relearn the famous language.
“And when it comes to the biting of the nails – well, it still happens with a turbulent flight or a stressful day. It’s unladylike. But then again, so is the swearing. Dammit,” Markle added. In a bid to stop disappointing, the former Suits alum then decided against making resolutions. She wrote that from now on her approach in life would be to laugh and enjoy little bits. Her New Year resolution for that year was to leave room for magic.

It’s not exactly known what 2025 will bring for Meghan Markle or husband Prince Harry. The couple will be travelling to Canada next month for the Invictus Games. We might also see the Duchess finally launching her lifestyle brand, American Riviera Orchard. It sure will be exciting to see what comes ahead for the pair.
