EastEnders icon Natalie Cassidy has bagged a role that will see her away from Albert Square in a returning comedy-drama series. Long-time viewers of the BBC soap know that the star made her debut in 1993. She will now be seen in another BBC drama, Boarders. According to reports, the actress will appear in the second season of the show, which is set in a British boarding school.
The series focuses on five talented black inner-city teens who get scholarships to the prestigious St.Gilbert’s boarding school. These students will try to survive their time in the school under the realm of an acting headmistress who wants them gone. Our beloved Natalie will be portraying the role of Sharon Hail, an eccentric teacher from a rival school. It will surely be exciting to see her in this series.
Alan Cumming To Join The Cast Too
While shedding light on her excitement about joining this comedy-drama, Cassidy said, I loved series one of Boarders and was so thrilled to be asked to appear in series two.
