2024 has been a tough year for the Royal Family as a whole. Especially for King Charles and Kate Middleton, owing to their health battles. Both the King and the Princess made limited public appearances as they invested their time in their recovery. However, with 2025 in full swing, it seems things are looking a tad bit sunnier for Kate. The world is waiting for her next royal appearance with bated breaths.
Well, a little birdie tells us that fans of the Princess may not have to wait for too long! Reports suggest that The Princess of Wales plans to prioritize her health over appearances this year, too. However, she will still be easing into the Royal duties a lot more than compared to the previous year. In fact, she may soon make a Red Carpet appearance for an event in February 2025.
Sources claim that Princess Kate and Prince William have close ties to the BAFTA Film Awards. The Royal couple might actually bedazzle the star-studded event by making a joint appearance at their glamorous best! This, of course, won’t be her first appearance at the BAFTA. Back in 2023, she attended the award ceremony dressed in a stunning white one-shoulder Alexander McQueen gown. She completed the ensemble by pairing the gown with sleek, long black gloves, and long gold earrings. Prince William accompanied her dressed in a dapper black tuxedo.
The couple first attended the BAFTAs in 2017, followed by appearances in 2018, 2019, 2020, and then 2023. However, they gave the ceremony a miss in 2024 due to Kate’s cancer battle. Express states that the committee chair, Anna Higgs, is “hopeful” Kate will be in attendance at the Royal Festival Hall event on February 16, 2025. She also added that the team is “pulling out all the stops” to make it happen.
While the above sounds super exciting, some Royal insiders claim that the appearance may not happen. There is no huge reset button that’s going to be hit in January,” the insiders reportedly told English. “What we will actually see is a slow continuation of the princess balancing her recovery and her public-facing duties. With the narrative extending both ways, it seems only time will reveal what happens next.
