Her father, Marlon, and her stepmother, Rhona, have been devastated by the ongoing trauma. Unfortunately, things became even worse for the struggling couple when Marlon’s video went viral, and sparked a new controversy.
Now, in yet another heartbreaking twist, Rhona Goskirk’s past has hit the headlines following April’s disappearance. The local Hotten Courier newspaper then published an article discussing Rhona’s involvement in baby Ivy’s kidnapping story. It also spoke about her past struggles with painkiller addiction. Ever since the story went viral, Rhona has been on edge by the realization that someone from the village has leaked the information.
Emmerdale spoilers point that the January 13, 2025, episode confirmed the identity of the source who betrayed Rhona with the intimate details of her life. At Woolpack, Wendy Posner admitted that she was the one who gave the information to the reporter. However, the reporter twisted her words in order to make the story more sensational. The journalist once again cornered Wendy and tried to get more juicy gossip from her about the other villagers.
However, Wendy refused to entertain her and claimed that she had misused her words in the article. “That wasn’t a quote, though, was it? Because you have twisted it when I thought we were just talking,” she lashed at the journalist. The sneaky woman then resorted to blackmail. She threatened Wendy that if she refused to cooperate, she would reveal her own misdemeanours. Back in 2021, Wendy had failed to disclose criminal convictions when she applied to be a nurse.
“I need a new story. If you don’t bring me something more interesting, it’ll be all about you and your colourful past.” The journalist has truly put Wendy between a rock and a hard place. How will she tackle this situation? Will Wendy betray even more members of the community to protect herself, or will she let the reporter expose her?
