EastEnders Spoilers affirm that Lauren Branning will soon reveal a huge secret about Cindy Beale’s attack. Cindy Beale is now awakened from her coma and was investigated about the whole Christmas Day tragedy by DCI Arthurs. Later, the police arrived at The Vic and arrested Lauren for attempting to murder Cindy. This week, Lauren was questioned at the police station. Cindy informed the cops that she saw Lauren running away when she opened her eyes while lying in the snow.
We all witnessed DCI Arthurs grill Lauren about her and Cindy’s dramatic relationship. He even brought up Lucy and her addiction issue to get the truth. Elsewhere, Peter paid a visit to his mother at the hospital and confronted her about Lauren’s arrest. He also requested his mother retrieve her statement, but she took her stand and told her son that Lauren was hiding something from the day of the tragedy.

Did Lauren Attack Cindy?
As for Lauren, she remained firm that she didn’t know anything and was later released on bail. She soon reached home, where she told Kathy and Penny everything before meeting Peter, who comforted her. After the couple is alone for some time, Lauren told her partner that Cindy isn’t lying and she did see her in the snow on the night of the attack. However, the memories from that night are blurry for her as she had taken pills that Cindy gave her.
It looks like Lauren isn’t completely sure about the sequence of events. She also told Peter that she is scared that she could actually be responsible for Cindy’s attack but doesn’t really remember. Although the suspect list is long, Lauren could actually be the person who attacked Cindy. However, this mystery will properly be solved on the soap’s 40th anniversary.
