Last year, the BBC soap was leaning towards a storyline related to the Walford market being under threat. However, all the traders joined forces and launched a campaign to save the market and received a major update about its future recently.
Market owner Mr. Lister visited The Vic and informed everyone that Bridge Street stalls are safe, but the same cannot be said about the ones at Turpin Road. The stalls at Turpin will instead face closure. Fans of the soap know that Stacey runs a bap can with her best friend in the same area, so she will be shocked at the news. To make matters worse, Mr. Lister will announce that the traders of Turpin Road only have a month before they start closing.
Fan-favorite character will obviously start worrying about the future of her family and their livelihood. During this week, Martin Fowler stepped in to support his ex-wife, Stacey in her struggles. And in the forthcoming week – Ruby Allen will also jump to help the Turpin Road traders just to impress Martin. We will see her having a secret meeting with Councillor Barker and put forward a risky plan.
