The recent Emmerdale episodes have revealed an emotionally charged storyline for Beth Cordingly aka Ruby Fox Milligan—and now, she has shared an emotional message with her fans. As the truth came out, actors have been praised for their performance—however, Beth’s portrayal was surely one of a kind.
Beth’s Incredible Performance
We already know what a roller coaster ride Ruby is on since her father, Anthony returning to the village. And especially last week, her life turned upside-down when she got to know about her daughter, Steph’s paternity truth.
As it turns out, Caleb is not Steph’s biological father—which leaves the only alternative, Anthony. This horrifying truth has only deepened Ruby’s traumatic memories of the past when her father sexually assaulted her on her 16th birthday.
As expected, Anthony denied all allegations initially, and claimed that the father-daughter had a great bond—however, the shocking truth finally became undeniable. Though the DNA results led to an initial misunderstanding between Ruby and Caleb—the truth was finally exposed by Chas. In a scene, which saw Ruby finally open up to Caleb about her traumatic past, Beth earned huge praise for her performance.
Beth’s Message To All Emmerdale Fans
Beth Cordingly recently took to Instagram to thank her fans for all the praises and to express her gratitude. She shared a video where she was seen sitting on a train as she said how proud she felt to be a part of the powerful storyline.
The actor added, “We really care about it, everyone cares about it at work and everyone. The producers, writers, the crew, everyone’s so invested – camera, sound, makeup, costume, all the actors. Everyone’s really invested and it’s been an amazing experience to work on it. I’m proud of it. I’m really proud.”
Beth also wrote in the caption, “Thank you to everyone for your amazing messages. Working on this storyline is an enormous privilege and we all really care about it.” She also thanked the cast, crew, producers and writers for contributing collectively to build up such a powerful scene. She ended by saying, “Sorry I can’t reply to every message but I do read them and I’m so grateful. Didn’t like Ruby when she first appeared, but she just grows on you as the story goes on .Now I think she is terrific,the part she is playing is done with so much feeling .Hope you stay on Emmerdale.
