However, it seems that the couple is still struggling to make their new place of residence “home.” Reports claim that Montecito residents are very hesitant of Harry and Meghan. They do not like the attention the Duke and Duchess have brought to the area.
Reports suggest that the Montecito residents being unwelcome of Meghan Markle and Harry is an understatement. They have, in fact, gone to the point of calling them local villains. “Montecito residents tell me that their disdain is primarily focused on Meghan because she gives off new money energy.” Kinsey Schofield, host of the To Di For Daily podcast, recently told Fox News.
The Sussexes Are Off To A Bad Start Of 2025
The locals are very unhappy about the glaring attention the Sussexes have brought to their exclusive coastal town. “They don’t believe that Harry and Meghan are financially literate.” Kinsey stated. Furthermore adding that many of the residents think of the couple as “desperate.” They hold the same opinion about Harry and Meghan’s entertainment ventures.
Meghan is all set to launch her cooking show on Netflix – With Love, Meghan. But it has already garnered a lot of negative attention. “Neighbors have a hard time processing why someone would turn their back on tiaras in pursuit of Tupperware,” the podcast host shared. Selling utensils with the American Riviera Orchard logo on them badly pales compared to state visits with world leaders.
Meghan’s public image has been rather questionable for a long time. However, things for the couple have become even worse in 2025. And that’s saying a lot considering that we are barely 3 weeks into the year. From being called out by past staffers to being labeled “ambulance chasers” and “locals villains”, Harry and Meghan’s image has taken a steep nosedive. At this point, the Duke and Duchess need to be very very careful with what they do next, or they may soon find themselves at te point of no return, as far as danger control is concerned.
