According to the latest Coronation Street Spoilers, tensions are spiralling up as Leanne’s recklessness reaches a boiling point. What started as petty revenge by firing up the toaster—has now raised serious questions about Leanne’s recklessness. Speculations are high on whether Leanne could play a role in the Platt family’s upcoming fire plot.
Leanne’s Reckless Behaviour
Leanne’s bitterness with her sister, Toyah, and ex-fiance, Nick, only keeps increasing—and this week, it took a dangerous turn. Though Toyah was trying to support her sister as much as she could and even gave her a lift to the court, Leanne continued to lash out at her. Situations worsened when Tracy McDonald remarked how Toyah had stolen everything from her, including the flat full of Leanne’s belongings, and is now making holiday plans with Nick and Leanne’s son, Sam.
Frustrated by the memories of betrayal again—she went into the flat, placed the couple’s passports in the toaster, and lit it up on fire. This petty act of revenge led to a fire scene—which could have harmed Sam if he got back from school early. Though no one was harmed, Nick and Toyah were clearly furious at Leanne for her reckless behaviour. Even Leanne realised this act was too far, so she signed off on her bistro share with Nick and declared that she didn’t want to be on any terms with either of them.
Leanne’s reckless behaviour of starting a fire comes at a time when there is already an impending fire accident at the Platt family in February. Leanne’s impulsive behaviours have now made her an easy target for the Platt family to blame. In fact, the Platts can also point fingers at her just to put the blame.
Producer Kate Brooks has already hinted at a “massive stunt” referring to the late-night and explosive fire scene shootings. It will be interesting to see how everything unfolds going forward.
