Emmerdale is gearing up for yet another exit in the upcoming months. Actress Paula Lane debuted as Ella Forster earlier in 2024. Upon arriving in the village, she started dating Liam Cavanagh. Initially, everything seemed hunky dory. However, as time passed, it became increasingly clear that Ella was hiding a deep dark secret. Many fans speculated that she is perhaps a negative character with a murderous past, and will soon start targeting people around her.
The mystery surrounding Ella deepened on Emmerdale when it was revealed that she regularly visits a a care home to see a lady called June. But she gave no explanation about it to anyone, nor did she ever reveal her real connection with the lady. Only after June passed away and Ella attended the funeral did the real truth come out. When Ella was a child, she killed her best friend, June’s daughter, in a fit of rage.
She spent years in prison for it. But even after getting released, she could never live a peaceful life. She moved from place to place, but failed to settle down anywhere. Every time she started to get comfortable at some place, her neighbors or acquaintances would find out the truth about her past, and she moved. It looks like the same pattern is about to repeat again. Towards the end of 2024, it was reported that Paula Lane was gearing up to leave Emmerdale.
Will Ella Die or Move Away?
The reports suggested that Paula Lane would film as Ella till the end of February and then depart from the ITV sudser. Recently, the actress posted a BTS on her official Instagram account and shared that she has a busy week of filming ahead. However, there are no details about her exit storyline yet. We know that a huge car crash is set to happen. But the cats filmed those scenes weeks ago. And if Paula is still filming, this means she survives the crash.
