Over the past few years General Hospital has gone through many casting shakeups. Many beloved actors and characters have fallen off the canvas, while many news ones have come on. While the jury is still out on the hit-or-miss for most of them, one actor and character has already proven their mettle. If you haven’t guessed it already, we are talking about Jack Brennan, portrayed by Charles Mesure. GH has hit pure gold with him!
Initially, Charles Mesure debuted as Jack Brennan in a recurring capacity. He entered the fold as WSB’s new director, who was also running Pikeman. However, the character became such a hit with the fanbase that General Hospital makers decided to put him on contract. They even rewrote him as a grey character rather than the original out and out baddie he debuted as. This seemed like a conscious decision by the makers, keeping in mind his crackling chemistry with Carly Spencer.
Ever since Carly and Jack Brennan crossed paths, fans had been rooting for a romance between them. And the makers gave them exactly that! A slow burn that has finally reached its high point in Germany. In recent episodes, Jack flew to Germany to support Carly. There, Valentin attacked him, but thankfully, Carly arrived in the nick of time and saved him. Jack then thanked Carly with a passionate kiss in her hotel room. And voila! Soap Twitter and Reddit are going bonkers over it.
GH lovers have found their new next ship and they are now trying to find the perfect name for it. Some prefer CarJack, while others are pushing for Jackly! Many feel the latter has more kick! Just as feisty as Carly and Jack Brennan! As for the pairing, “Carly and Jack are on fire 🔥. Let’s hope the writers play off their chemistry,” a fan wrote on Reddit. Meanwhile, another fan rooted for Charles Mesure saying, “Amazing chemistry with all he acts with ! Charisma and charm.”
