Popular Emmerdale stars James Chase and Eden Taylor-Draper reunited last night for a special evening at the broadcast awards 2025. What made this more special was that this was the on-screen duo’s first public appearance together since James’s departure from the soap. The two actors who played the on-screen couple, Tom King and Belle, attended the event, which represented Emmerdale, ITV, and Coronation Street.
A Night To Remember
Eden, who has played Belle for years, shared a sweet moment with James on her Instagram story as she posted an elegant black and white snap of them dressed for the event. She even captioned it, saying, “#BA2025” with a white heart emoji, and fans wasted no time to react.
Eden wore a stunning black dress with white pearls, while James opted for a classic black bowtie and a suit. Later, James joined in on the fun and shared more snaps from the night, which included a playful nod to Bond casting rumours, and captioned the photo saying, “Your new Bond. Sorry, Aaron.”
The last time we saw James in Emmerdale was when he was sent to prison. Tom was arrested because of the mental and physical torture of his wife. While Tom’s storyline ended with a dramatic trial and a three-year custodial sentence—James hints huge. James said the door might not entirely be closed on his character’s future. Speaking about a potential return, he said that with good behaviour, Tom could be out in 16 to 18 months.
Is this a hint? Well, with no confirmations from the show bosses yet, we still don’t know if Tom’s return is confirmed. However, the possibility of his return keeps us all on the edge of our seats.
