Thorsten Kaye is one of the most famous soap stars, thanks to his role as Ridge Forrester on The Bold and The Beautiful. But with great fame comes great responsibility. And when stars of his stature say things in interviews that are out of line, they do end up getting just as much backlash from fans as they get love. Something similar happened to Thorsten after his recent interview with a popular soap magazine.
In a recent chat with Soap Opera Digest, Thorsten Kaye reflected on his character’s ongoing love triangle with Brooke and Taylor on The Bold and The Beautiful. Ridge and Brooke have recently fallen apart. Right after, Ridge darted back into Taylor’s waiting arms. Despite Ridge’s stance, Brooke has decided against throwing in the towel. She has resolved to win back her love no matter what.
Thus, episode after episode, Brooke is trying to convince Ridge to give their relationship another chance. But her pleas are falling on deaf ears. Meanwhile, Taylor is rather hopeful that this time she and Ridge will really make it. Thorsten seems to be thinking on the same lines as far as Ridge and Taylor are concerned. He heartily appreciated Rebecca Budig’s version of Taylor during his SOD interview.
That’s also where he low-key slammed Brooke Logan’s current begging ways. Commenting on Taylor, he said, “She’s not begging; she’s like, ‘This is me. Take it or leave it. Meanwhile, he took a jab at Brooke by insisting that “There’s nothing less attractive than a needy woman or a needy man.” While he did not specifically name Brooke, many fans did the math and figured out what he was pointing at.
But this isn’t all, Thorsten also made some remarks about Taylor’s past on the soap. He claimed that he likes Rebecca’s version of Taylor because she (the actress) was not the one who did whatever Taylor (the character) did in the past. “This Taylor, the one that’s on stilts in front of me. She has never slept with my brother (Thorne) or my dad (Eric), which is always nice.” However, Thorsten did agree that there is no justifying Ridge’s waffling that he has relentlessly indulged in over the years.

It’s a soap people! I do wish the writers would give Brooke a backbone. They have made her a pathetic, begging woman, who use to have spunk. I wish the writers would have her get all the shares of Belief back and tell the Forresters to take a flying leap and see how fast Ridge comes crawling on his knees telling Brooke she is his destiny.Brooke needs a man who will stick with her. I mean how many times can you switch bed partners without getting the moves mixed up?
I have watched this soap for years and its time for Brooke to throw in the towel with Ridge. He isnt worth all the trouble she has put in to be rejected by him. Tell him she has had enough and hand Taylor to him. Show him she is the better person. And get on with her life. Maybe Jack can be her new love!

Who is he kidding Taylor is Taylor, Taylor slept with his brothers and Father, the actress has nothing to do with the character, does he think KKL slept with his dad?
you have to try real hard to come up with that one. I don’t care how many actors play a character they all have to embrace that character’s entire history. unfortunately this actor sounds a whole lot like his character . so I’m guessing he would preach to the Carter character too . and would ,therefore, be a flaming hypocrite.
This Ridge nonsense is a repeat ad nauseum and this Taylor was completely miscast.
Kaye wants to rewrite her history and he himself is recast so let him go already. He is not adding value to the program.

The writers on B&B have no idea how to write if it’s not the same old love triangle over and over again. Any man or woman who has to beg the ex partner back is not experiencing true love. If you will write a different story once in awhile and find just 2 people, a couple in that story it might be interesting again. I quit watching over a year but keep hoping maybe the triangles will break up for good. It’s ridiculous Brooke and Taylor with Ridge and Hope and Steffy with Liam. Why not introduce some new people with different kind of love stories. Here’s hoping!🤞
Ridge thinks he is what every woman wants. He is pathetic and I hope they do give Brooke another man even if it is Bill as she deserves better. Taylor is not a good actress and at least she is now wearing other colored clothes besides tan. She has NO connection even with Ridge she seems fake.
