EastEnders icons Natalie Cassidy and Patsy Palmer have revealed that the duo has shot their final scenes for the show. Fans of the BBC soap know Cassidy announced her departure back in January, and we all thought that she might die in the explosive pub storyline. However, Sonia survived the tragedy and gave birth to a baby girl amid the whole chaos.
But we know that Sonia’s fate is sealed, and she recently opened up about her exit scenes on her podcast, Off The Telly. While speaking to co-host Joanna Page, she said: “I went to the nail shop this morning to get new nails. And I got my hair done because yesterday I left EastEnders.” The popular star who completed writing her first book also said that she’s very excited and didn’t even shed a tear.
Cassidy reflected on the love she received from her cast members and her last scenes were lovely. Along with Sonia, her sister, Bianca Jackson is also bidding farewell to her alter ego. She took to her Instagram story and uploaded a picture with the caption, “Bye bye B. Always grateful to see her again.” The sister duo has been struggling a lot ever since Reiss died after being crushed in the Queen Vic.
