Home and Away spoilers suggest Nerida Mullins is about to face police questioning next week, but there is a shocking twist. Detective Sergeant Mark Townsend, the newest face in the Bay, is already crumbling under pressure at work. In a surprising move, he calls Nerida in for questioning, but not as a suspect-as a witness! Despite all the signs pointing straight to Nerida, Townsend is barking up the wrong tree.
The policeman’s role is being portrayed by former Neighbours star Craig Hall. And he’s here to investigate the attack against Tim Russell at Lyrik’s rehearsal retreat. Even though every clue screams that Nerida is guilty, Mark will be fixated on Cash Newman instead. Cash had a flashback recently and recalled that Nerida was the actual attacker. But he won’t be able to convince the Summer Bay police.
In the scenes to air next week, Rose will make her point in front of her superior and insist that he’s focusing on the wrong person. In a bid to prove her wrong, Townsend brings Nerida in and questions her as a witness. Things will soon get more frustrating when he doesn’t just question Nerida, he takes a completely softball approach! Instead of grilling her over her history with Tim or the chilling threats she’s made – he goes easy on her.
And to make it all worse, Townsend actually buys Nerida’s alibi! He even blocks Rose from asking any follow-up questions! So, while Townsend keeps pushing ahead with his case against Cash, the real question is- will Nerida get punished for attempted murder? Only time will tell.
