Former EastEnders actress Shona Mcgarty is all set for something new and bigger than before. She has been a part of the show for more than 16 years and played the most iconic character, Whitney Dean. 40 Years Of EastEnders!
BBC’s most successful and loved soap, EastEnders, is all set to take over the Clapham Grand on Thursday, March 27. The Theater will be transformed into the iconic Queen Vic. EastEnders’ most iconic storylines and scandals will be portrayed by the UK’s most talented drag and cabaret artists. The celebration is a tribute to the soap and is promised to be a ‘chaotic, camp and utterly unhinged drag cabaret tribute.’
Moreover, legendary characters like Queen Vic will be brought back to the stage including more characters like Sharon Watts and Pat Butcher. A plenty of surprises are planned including a Charity raffle organised for the East London Out Project and a costume competition for the audience members.
Shona McGarty Excited To Be The Part Of The Celebration
Shona Mcgarty will be performing a one-night-only special with some brilliant drag and cabaret artists along by her side. The talented actress said she’s very excited to be there and to see everyone at the celebration. Long time viewers know Mcgarty made her debut on the BBC soap 16 years ago. And she bid goodbye to it last year with her on-screen daughter.
Her character, Whitey Dean’s exit came after she discovered Zack Hudson, her fiance, cheating with Lauren Branning.
