The scammer is using a hacked account to deceive fans into paying for fake meet-and-greets, phone calls, and subscriptions.
“Don’t get scammed!” LaRue wrote in her caption, emphasizing that she has no control over the fraudulent account. The imposter even has a verified blue checkmark, making the deception even more convincing.
LaRue explained that her Facebook account was hacked about five months ago. Despite her repeated efforts, she has received no help from the platform to recover it. “These creeps are stealing money from my followers,” she said, expressing frustration. “They’re reaching out to people directly, pretending to be me, and taking their hard-earned cash.”
Since Meta has failed to take action, LaRue is now relying on her supporters. She urged her fans to visit her hacked Facebook page and report it as fraudulent. “If enough people report it, maybe they’ll finally take it down,” she said. The actress made it clear—she is no longer trying to recover her account. She just wants to stop the scam before more people lose money.
LaRue assured fans that she only uses Instagram. “My biggest fear is that people are being scammed for thousands of dollars,” she said. “I have no other accounts.
