Nearby, construction work is in progress. A piece of scaffolding falls, barely missing Julie. Theo Silverton, the site manager, rushes over to apologise. However, he makes a huge mistake by joking that Julie exaggerated her pain.
George Shuttleworth quickly corrects him, revealing Julie’s cancer diagnosis. Theo, horrified by his insensitivity, attempts to make amends. He buys flowers for Julie, and Todd eagerly leads him to the local florist.
