Emmerdale Shares The Actor’s Video!
The star recognized for his role, James McEvan, in Heartstopper – Bradley Riches, is joining Emmerdale in May. He also appeared in Celebrity Big Brother, securing 6th position in the show.
Many details about his character haven’t been revealed but he appeared in a fun Emmerdale video on their social media account where his excitement was clearly visible. In the video, he shared that his character’s name is Lewis and he has a connection with someone in the village.
Expressing his excitement Bradley mentioned that joining Emmerdale was on his bucket list. The show was his grandfather’s favorite and he will be quite happy to see him in it. He further spoke about the warm welcome he received on set, describing both the village and cast as lovely. Though he couldn’t disclose much about his role, he expressed his gratitude for the opportunity.
The soap’s producer, Laura Shaw, shared that the team is thrilled to welcome Bradley. Describing him as talented, she shared that his warmth and charm make him a perfect fit for the role. She further added that the exciting storylines waiting for him in the show are soon going to make him fan-favourite.
Bad News: A Former Soap Star Not Making A Comeback!
While excitement is high for the new arrival, fans won’t be seeing the comeback of Gemma Atkinson ‐ who played Carly Hope for 2 years on the soap until 2017 and also Lisa Hunter on Hollyoaks. But why isn’t she returning?
She shared that going back to soap isn’t possible for her because of its unpredictable schedule which doesn’t match with her priorities. Her children are her priority. She added that though she loved her time on television, she won’t be able to commit to it right now.
