Home and Away spoilers sent viewers over the moon by bringing back fan favorites Dean Thompson and Ziggy Astoni. Their comeback storyline involved Mackenzie Booth and Levi Fowler traveling to North Queensland to meet them. But the nostalgic surprise got more fun when Ziggy dropped her big baby news. The aftermath? Now, Mack wants to follow in Ziggy’s footsteps. Read on!
Home and Away spoilers: Is Mackenzie Ready for a Baby?
Home and Away spoilers recall Patrick O’Connor’s Dean and Sophie Dillman’s Ziggy returning on the show after two years. However, what was meant to be a relaxing break turned into a kidnapping drama. It was when Ziggy told Mackenzie that she was expecting, a news that remained in the latter’s back of mind.
Moreover, the lady even caught Levi off guard by expressing her desire. It all started when the couple returned from their wild trip and Mackenzie remained quiet. Levi thought she was still dealing with the stress from the kidnapping horror but she was actually contemplating motherhood.
Ziggy’s pregnancy inspired her so much that she also wanted to start a family with Levi. Unfortunately, her announcement didn’t get the positive reaction she expected. In fact, the man even started questioning her if she was truly prepared for such a life-changing step.
He couldn’t tell if Mackenzie genuinely wanted a baby or it was nothing but reacting impulsively to Ziggy’s news. Or maybe Levi didn’t want to be a father due to his own hidden fears. Whatever the case, it’s a big step for them and things can get complicated if they don’t talk it out.
Sophie Wants to Make a Comeback
UK viewers have to wait until May to see Mackenzie making a big confession on Channel 5. Meanwhile, seeing Dean and Ziggy again was a special moment for all the OG fans. More good news? In a chat with Woman’s Day, Sophie (Ziggy) teased she might reprise her role for good.
The actress wants to have a long stint on the show, similar to Emily Symons, who plays Marilyn Chambers. But she did acknowledge that bringing back old characters isn’t always easy. “The writers do such a great job creating character storylines that do well in the Bay,” she said.
“It’s not easy to flick a switch and get characters to dip in and out,” Dillman noted. Keep reading Soap Opera Daily for your daily dose of Home and Away spoilers. Would you like to see Sophie on the show for a long haul?
