Stacey has been struggling since her ex-husband passed away in February. Just before his death, they both confessed their love for each other. The actor, Lacey Turner, reflected on her storyline and mentioned that Stacey isn’t coping. She is becoming more self-destructive. Though she is grieving Martin, she is full of guilt. The soap star also shared that Stacey feels like she shouldn’t attend the funeral because if she hadn’t been in Martin’s life, he would have been alive.
Rather than dealing with her emotions, she wants to escape them. She even turns to drinking to escape the pain. The actor also mentioned that due to Stacey’s condition, Lily has to take care of her younger brothers and sister, making her furious at her mother.
Stacey Goes To The Funeral But Is Full Of Shame!
The actor also spoke about whether Stacey would ever be able to cope with this pain. She said that she doesn’t think Stacey will ever get over losing Martin as they were so close, even when they weren’t together. And now that they had confessed their feelings before his death, it is going to be hard for Stacey. However, she has to learn to live with it because her kids need her more.
Though Stacey had been staying with her brother, Sean tried to escape everything but she returned to Walford for the funeral. However, she comes home fully drunk and tells Sonia that she can’t handle her pain anymore. Pictures from emotional funeral scenes reveal that she went to the funeral.
