John Sugden, a medic, arrived in Emmerdale last year. He soon formed a relationship with Aaron Dingle. He even created circumstances to prove himself as a hero by creating troubles for other people and saving them later. John isn’t as generous as he shows and soon his identity will be out. After a bad day at work, his dark side came forward.

However, fans will need to wait for more time as the episodes scheduled to air on Monday, April 21 have been removed due to the Easter Holidays. Instead, ITV decided to air the Championship fixture between Burnley and Sheffield Utd. However, the soap will return on April 22 with the missing 30 minutes, added to Tuesday’s episode. Next week’s episodes include big revelations – John planned incidents in the village to prove himself a hero and the killing of Nate Robinson.

Oliver Farnworth Reflects On John!

Oliver Farnworth who plays John Sugden reflected on the character’s dark side sharing that he finds it exciting when the viewers know the secrets but other characters don’t. He shared that John was stressed as he had to hide a lot of secrets. He was also nervous about the criticisms, John would receive from the viewers. However, since the viewers know about John’s secrets, the actor feels relieved.

He further added that the details related to the character are interesting. The actor also shared that John isn’t just a villain or a bad person, he is much more than that. Oliver is still exploring his character. He hinted that there is much more to the story. Soap viewers are curious about John’s upcoming storyline.
