Coronation Street: Todd’s Web of Lies Unfold
It all begins when Todd finds out that Theo, the man he‘s been secretly dating, is married with kids. Instead of walking away, Todd dips his toes into the chaos, recruiting Sarah to play along as his girlfriend in hopes of throwing off Theo‘s wife, Danielle.
At first reluctant, Sarah agrees to the scheme to aid Todd. But Todd appears to be having the time of his life playing the game, even kissing Sarah in front of Theo just to get under his skin. The scheme goes awry in all the wrong directions.
When later Danielle observes Sarah being nice to Kit Green, her jealousy reaches a boiling point. Believing Sarah’s not only cheating on Todd but also sleeping with her husband, Danielle totally blows her top.
A Coronation Street source spilled the beans that when Danielle discovers Todd is gay, she makes the wrong assumption. Rather than realizing what‘s actually happening, she assumes Sarah is having an affair with Theo. Danielle verbally attacks Sarah, who, caught in the middle, can’t defend herself without revealing Todd’s secret.
Marriage in Meltdown as Truth Comes Out
Danielle’s runaway assumptions begin to impact more than Sarah. When she confronts Sarah and Todd again, accusing Sarah of being involved with Theo, things turn nastier. Sarah finally directs Danielle towards the true problem—Todd. George attempts to clear up the situation by telling Danielle that Todd has no interest in women whatsoever, something that surprises her even more.
But the revelation only makes Danielle more suspicious instead of clearing the air. When she catches sight of Sarah and Theo at the factory, her imagination runs riot. She’s convinced Sarah’s having it on with a number of men, including her husband.
In the background, Theo becomes increasingly bitter with Todd, accusing him of destroying his marriage. He finally tells Todd it is best they leave each other alone.
