Tonight’s episode took us to the prison, where Lauren went to face off with Reece. She’d received news that her son Frankie was doing well after his transplant, only to be reminded of Reece’s existence in their lives in a chilling way when a present from him turned up for Frankie.
Determined to shut that door once and for all, Lauren went to see Reece and have her say. In a raw flash, she told him how mothering Frankie had taught her all she’d been deprived of as a child. She relived — in ghoulish detail — the way Reece had ‘sold her out’ to his pals when she was only 11.
Roy Receives a Call He Never Saw Coming
After that heartbreaking encounter, Lauren went back to the café, requiring some calm. There, she broke the news to Roy, relating everything that had just transpired with Reece. As usual, Roy remained calm and sympathetic.
He asked if she thought about taking a DNA test at some point. Once she was emotionally prepared, she stepped toward understanding and closure. But Lauren was thinking about something else.
