Soap fans are aware of John Sugden’s hero complex. He frames situations by putting people in danger, and later on, tries to fix them by helping the people. Some of his plans work while others don’t. In the case of Nate, he tried to help him by giving him medicine, but he experienced side effects and died due to it.
Later, he disposed of his body in the lake. A few weeks ago, he even tried to attack his recent foe, Mackenzie Boyd. However, he ends up attacking Liam Cavanagh with a plank of wood, as he thinks him to be Mackenzie.
In the upcoming episodes, John again proves his hero complex and loves the attention from the people for his heroism. However, he learns that his fiancée, Aaron, is struggling, so he leaves. He prioritises Aaron as he is batting with his mental health issues.
Mackenzie Is In Danger!
Meanwhile, when Victoria Sugden and Tracy Robinson learn that John has missed the event due to Aaron, they decide to organise another one in the pub to make up for the real award ceremony.
This makes him more egoistic. Then the lads gather at the HOP for Aaron and John’s stag party. When the paintballing game begins, Mackenzie tries to prevent John from succeeding. John tries to follow him secretly.
The actor, Lawrence Robb, who plays Mackenzie, said that though John killed Nate, he didn’t do it intentionally. He added that John could do anything if he turned into a serial killer, and Mack would be his first target. Lawrence added that Mackenzie isn’t aware of John’s danger. He also gloated over him, further raising his anger, so his life was in jeopardy.
