EastEnders Actress Heather Peace Opens Up About Her Cancer Journey
EastEnders star Heather Peace has finally opened up about her secret cancer battle. She was diagnosed with breast cancer back in October 2024. And now she has revealed that she has completed her chemotherapy journey. “I’ve been on quite a road for many months now,” she added.
She further added that after her diagnosis, she underwent surgery. Then she recovered during the Christmas season. “Today my chemotherapy journey ended,” she added. Peace further wrote that she ‘narrowed her world’ during this whole time.
“I’ve had the most precious time with my wife Ellie and our 3 girls: Annie, Jessie & Lola,” she added. Heather also wrote that she tries appreciating every moment with her and tries to stay still.
She further wrote, “I’ve found joy in the simplest of things.” The actress further added that she has one of the most real and honest talks with others, as she did not have the capacity for small talk. “It has felt like such personal shit,” she added. She also thanked the whole soap’s team and added, “I’ve felt totally supported by you all.” Peace also thanked her friends, local community and the ‘wonderful’ NHS.
Heather’s Co-Stars Call Her A WARRIOR WOMAN
The soap star joined BBC’s soap back in 2021 as Eve Panesar. Her co-star Lacey Turner commented over the post by writing, “My superhero! Love you always, mate.” Ian actor Adam wrote down a trio of love heart emojis. Linda actress Kellie Bright commented by writing “warrior women” on her post.
Emma Barton, who plays Honey Mitchell, wrote, “Love you so much, you beautiful, strong, mental, brave lady… You’re frigging ace!!” Moving further, actress Diane Parish wrote “tough” and “courageously vulnerable” in the comments.
