EastEnders spoilers suggest that in the upcoming episode, it will be revealed that Peter and Lauren’s newborn is diagnosed with visual impairment. When she looks in her newborn’s eyes, she will notice something unusual and immediately call the GP.
But unfortunately, they will be unable to give them an appointment. According to an insider, she will be left with no choice but to run to the hospital. “She insists that he is seen as a matter of urgency,” the insider said.
In the upcoming week, Peter will try to calm her worried fiancé down, as she is worried that her addiction might have some adverse effect on her newborn.
On the other hand, Cindy will not stop causing trouble in their life, as she will pressurise them. This will make Lauren even more worried that she is a bad mother. Somehow Linda will reach her place at the perfect time. Then both the mothers will share their struggle as mothers and continue to speak about mental health issues.
Doctor Informs The Couple That Jimmy Is Visually Impaired
She will be upset that Peter is not taking her concern related to Jimmy seriously and speak to her health visitor Belinda. But she will also keep her matters aside. Belinda will instead speak to Peter about her fiancé possibly facing postpartum depression. But it seems that her fears are not baseless.
At first the midwife Hannan feels that Lauren is taking drugs and calls Peter to inform him about the situation. But later she will take her concern seriously and tell that Jimmy should get immediately checked. Later the doctor will inform the couple, Ian and Linda, that their son is severely visually impaired.
The makers are working over the plot with guidance from the Royal National Institute of Blind People (RNIB). Chris Clenshaw (Executive Producer) said, “It was imperative that we worked with RNIB and experts in the field when consulting on Jimmy’s visual impairment storyline to ensure it was portrayed sensitively and accurately.”
