EastEnders actor Thomas Law has opened up about Peter and Lauren’s current situation on the soap. It was earlier revealed that Peter blamed his fiancée for Jimmy’s diagnosis. Lauren unfortunately has a painkiller addiction, and the mother had feared if it would have an adverse effect on her baby. EastEnders Actor Thomas Shares His Thoughts for Lauren-Peter’s Future
EastEnders spoilers recently revealed that Jimmy is diagnosed with a visual impairment. Peter and Lauren were heartbroken to learn the truth but decided to face it as a family. But soon things will change when Peter blames Lauren for everything. Later things will get even worse when he gets to know that she almost relapsed. The couple will decide to later get separated when Lauren discovers that Peter has spoken to Johnny for custody advice.
The actor said, “Peter just wants to protect his boys, and he believes that Lauren could relapse at any minute.” Adding to it, Thomas said that Peter’s trust will be completely broken when she goes out for the whole night without telling him where she was. “He’s had enough and thinks Louie and Jimmy are safer with him,” Law added.
When asked if the couple can make it out of the tough times, Thomas replied, “I don’t know because it’s such a difficult situation. It would take a lot of compromises from both of them.”
Thomas Said, Lauren-Peter Really Need Each Other
He further explained that Lauren has to forgive Peter for whatever he said to her, and Peter has to stop blaming her for what has happened. “What’s sad is they really need each other – if they stuck together,” he added. Law further said that it will be all worth it, as the couple has been through so much. He also added that Peter just wants a normal and happy life with Lauren, but no one knows if that will ever happen. “It’s really stressful for them both and so tempers and emotions are running high!”
He further added that even after being together for so many years, there’s still a lot of water under the bridge between them. Thomas also added that Peter is trying his best to cope. But what they are facing will be difficult for anyone to handle. It is very hard for him to digest that Lauren was taking drugs while she was pregnant with Jimmy.
