EastEnders Actress Clair Norris Breaks Her Silence On Soap Exit
EastEnders star Clair Norris recently took it to Instagram after the soap dominated during the British Soap Awards by taking eight awards home. She wrote, “My last @thebritishsoapawards with my EE family,” and added two green-coloured heart emojis. She further added that the soap got eight awards, and she is proud to be a part of the soap’s team. “What a way to end this amazing journey, head held high & beaming from ear to ear,” Norris said.
Clair’s post got so much love from her co-stars and fans in the comments. Honey Mitchell actress Emma Barton wrote, “Love you.” James Farrer, who plays Zack, added, “Head held HIGH.” Whereas Elijah Holloway, who portrays Harry Mitchell, wrote, “We looked lovely, didn’t we?” Furthermore, Denise Fox and Penny Branning, actors Diane Parish and Kitty Castledine, also commented. Francesca Henry, who plays Gina Knight, added “Stunning” in the comments.
Fans Say, ‘Will Miss You’
One of her fans wrote a heartfelt comment, “You should be super proud to be the last Taylor standing but also of your personal journey. You have just got stronger and stronger, and the future will be exciting.” The soap star thanked everyone for their support and revealed that she was “nervous” ahead of her first scene. Another fan took it to X (formerly known as Twitter) and wrote, “Beautiful, I will miss you not being in EastEnders. All the luck and best wishes for your next adventure xx.”
It was revealed last month that Norris has left the soap. Confirming the reports, a spokesperson said to her, “All the best” for a great future. It was also clear that her character Bernie will leave the Square later this year. We hope she can come back to the soap someday soon, as we will miss Bernie.
