Sonny Lays Low in Home and Away
With the River Boys still posing a threat, Sonny pushes to get discharged from the hospital. Bree, though, shuts it down, she insists he needs close supervision. Cash can’t authorise official police protection, but Remi refuses to leave Sonny exposed and hires private security to keep him safe.
Wanting to lift Sonny’s spirits, Bree hands Dana his number and a picnic hamper. Dana tracks him down at the hotel, and the two share a bottle of wine and a quiet moment together. While enjoying the break, Dana can’t help but ask why Sonny really needs bodyguards, she clearly suspects there’s more going on than he’s letting on.
Leah Confesses and Theo Explodes
Elsewhere, Levi tries to get Theo to focus on his rehab exercises, warning him that his condition is more serious than he thinks. But Theo is distracted. He’s still reeling from Lacey’s sudden disappearance, unable to understand why she hasn’t come to see him.
Leah’s guilt finally catches up with her, and she comes clean, she told Lacey to stay away. She meant well, but Theo’s reaction is fierce. He lashes out, feeling blindsided by a choice that wasn’t hers to make. The betrayal cuts deep.
At the police station, Justin tries to get some answers from Cash about Lacey’s safety. Lacey overhears from the next room and steps out, prompting Cash to firmly remind everyone that her location needs to stay confidential for her own protection.
Trying to calm his nephew, Justin tells Theo that he saw Lacey and that she’s safe. But safety, it turns out, is still fragile. Moments later, Lacey receives a chilling voicemail, one of the River Boys has tracked her down and wants her to know it.
