Bernice Blackstock’s sister, Nicola King, found out that she had been buying things in her name.
Then Bernice Blackstock decided to run away as she was full of debt. However, Gabby Thomas told her to face the situation, as fleeing and leaving the family could make things worse. To get rid of the debt, the character gave her shares in the B&B to Nicola King. Bernice Blackstock left the village and went to Portugal to meet Diane.

However, there is good news for the fans as the character is coming back to the Dales. She is returning as her daughter, Gabby Thomas and Vinny Dingle are marrying soon.
