After everything that went down at the Alahan house party in Coronation Street, Lauren’s been in a rough spot, still recovering from the aftermath of taking LSD. But while most people have kept their distance, Aadi’s been showing up in ways no one expected. And now, things between them don’t seem quite the same anymore.
The Party That Sent Everything Sideways
That night was meant to be just a party but it quickly turned into something else. Lauren, Summer, and Nina ended up taking LSD while at Aadi’s, and it didn’t end well. Lauren, completely out of it, wandered into the ginnel where a man asked if she was alright. But in her hallucination, she thought it was Joel Deering and panicked. Her confusion only got worse.
She imagined Joel had taken Frankie, and she ended up stumbling into the factory, terrified and not thinking straight. That’s when Aadi found her and made sure she got help. Since then, Aadi’s stuck by her. And it hasn’t gone unnoticed. A few days ago, Lauren’s mate Betsy mentioned she hadn’t realised how close they were.
A Growing Bond in Coronation Street
In the latest episode, Aadi was clearly still carrying guilt about the party and what happened. He wanted to tell Lauren the truth about the drugs, but just as he was about to open up, she was kind to him, saying it wasn’t his fault and he shouldn’t blame himself. That stopped him in his tracks.
Instead, he found another way to help. Aadi told Lauren he’d lend her some money until she got back on her feet. It was a simple gesture, but it meant a lot. They’re getting closer. It might not be in the big romantic moments or anything like that but the way they talk, the way they’re there for each other, it’s different now.
Of course, there’s a catch. Adam Hussain, who plays Aadi, is leaving Coronation Street soon. So even if this turns into something more, it likely won’t last long. Still, for now, it gives Aadi’s story a softer, more personal note. And for Lauren, it’s the first time in a while someone’s been in her corner without judgement.
