Kat Pushes For Answers As Stacey and Alfie Keep Lying
Zoe Slater returned to the Square last month after two decades, but she was not ready to face Kat. Instead, she hid out with Stacey, clearly running from something. When Zoe left for Barcelona, Alfie made it his mission to get her back.
But Alfie did not tell Kat the truth. He said he was off to Australia to see Spencer, without revealing his true intentions. Kat became more worried when he ignored her calls. In the meantime, Stacey was trying to keep Zoe’s news while calming Kat’s escalating worry.
Kat started to piece things together after Jean inadvertently told her that Stacey had called Alfie. Curious, Kat rang Spencer and found out that Alfie had been lying.
EastEnders: Stacey Fabrics A Fresh White Lie As Alfie Plays Along
Cornered by Kat, Stacey panicked and fabricated a new white lie, informing her that Alfie had travelled to Spain following a cancer scare. Kat was horrified, fearing Alfie’s prostate cancer had recurred. Stacey assured her he was okay and needed some space.
Stacey immediately rang Alfie and warned him of the fib. Speaking to Kat on the telephone, Alfie played along. He told her he needed time to move on as Stacey listened in on her privately, clearly guilty.
