EastEnders Fans Detect Familiar Faces In Crazy New Season
The Sky Max comedy smash will premiere its second run this July on Sky and NOW. Joined by Dyer, returning alongside her will be familiar faces, including Brassic’s Ryan Sampson and Big Boys star Harriet Webb.
The first season followed estranged brothers Lee and Glen. It became Sky Max’s most successful original comedy launch in three years. Dyer even bagged his first BAFTA TV award for his performance as Lee Campbell.
The new trailer dropped on July 4, and the story picks up just two weeks after the bombshell reveal that the brothers’ dad is alive. As Lee and Glen collapse, they eventually team up to track him down.
Linda Henry, aka Shirley Carter, is reunited with Danny Dyer to portray Pam, a no-nonsense, hands-on mechanic in the family shipping business. She is not the only soap icon on the roster. Shaun Williamson, who played Barry Evans, brings comedic chaos as a furious clown in episode five.
The second instalment promises further surprises as Coronation Street and Celebrity Big Brother star Rula Lenska plays Rita. She is a flirt and an oddball who may have the answers about their dad’s vanishing act.
