Debbie Webster is fully committed to supporting her brother in Coronation Street, believing he’s once again in a difficult fight. She’s even ready to risk her finances to live nearby. Deep down, he fears that Abi is still attracted to Carl, so he thought that playing the sympathy card might keep her from leaving him. Now, everyone, except Tyrone, believes that Kevin is facing another tough round of treatment.
Tyrone knows the truth and already told Kevin he needs to come clean. Kevin promised he would tell Abi after their weekend getaway, which she planned to help him cope. While Kevin continues the ruse, Debbie is taking it all to heart. She is already experiencing early signs of dementia, and believing her brother is battling cancer again is causing her a lot of stress. Wanting to be close, she decides quickly to put in an offer on No.6.
Carla Becomes the Unexpected Obstacle in Coronation Street
Debbie’s offer on the house is solid, but then Carla outbids her. That’s when Debbie loses her cool. She tells Ronnie she’s not backing down, especially since Kevin supposedly needs her so much. She’s furious and won’t let Carla stand in her way.

This finally prompts Kevin to speak with Debbie. He takes her aside and gently advises her not to make any major decisions for him. He tells her he has enough support around him, hoping it will prevent her from spending all her money on the house.
