B&B Has Had Many Owners!
The local Bed and Breakfast, which is also known as Grange, has been a part of the village since 2002. It is located on the main street next door to The Woolpack Pub. It is known for its stylish interior and offers customers a special stay. The building dates back to around 1700 and was once the home of a woman named Mrs. Butterworth. It first appeared in 1990 when a tank crashed into its front wall.
Then, more than a decade later, Alan Turner, who used to run the Woolpack Pub, took over managing The Grange. Though he was good at it, he faced many problems, including several fights and deaths occurring at the place. However, Dr. Adam Forsythe killed Alan’s son, Terence, using a fire extinguisher. Lachlan White murdered Gerry Roberts at the B&B in 2018.
Soap Fans Suspect Diane To Be The New B&B Owner!
After that, the place has had different owners, including Louise, Terry and Eric. In 2023, Eric Pollard decided to sell it to Bob Hope and Bernice Blackstock. However, Bernice was caught cheating on her sister, Nicola King, which led to her leaving the village. Thus, Nicola owns the Grange along with Bob.
Elsewhere, the soap fans suspect that The Grange might get the new owners once more. They believe that Diane Sugden will come back to the Dales to become the new owner. She left in 2021 and went to Portugal. One of the soap fans wrote on Reddit that they want Diane to co-own B&B with Bob Hope. Another viewer wrote that they would love to see Diane’s comeback, while the other agreed that she would come back as Bernice might be returning this year.
