A robbery at the corner shop in Coronation Street has led to more than just financial damage and more importantly, it’s sparked major tension between Lisa and Carla. And while the crime itself stunned the locals, it’s Lisa’s response that’s now raising more questions and speculations.
Carla Left Puzzled by Lisa’s Silence
Earlier in the episode, Aadi told everyone that a masked robber stormed into the corner shop, threatened him, and stole £6,000 from the safe. The thief made a quick getaway, and not even a shout followed him. Lisa Swain, who was right there when it happened, didn’t react at all.
Carla witnessed the whole thing and couldn’t believe what she saw. Later, she confronted Lisa and asked why she just let the guy run off. She told her it was out of character and clearly didn’t make sense for someone in her role. But Lisa didn’t offer much of an explanation. She said she was just shaken by the whole thing and brushed off Carla’s concern. Still, Carla could tell something deeper was going on.
Lisa Breaks Down in Coronation Street
Later that day, Lisa finally let her guard down. She broke into tears and admitted to Carla that she’d never felt like that before in her entire career. She said she should’ve done something, but for the first time, she froze. Lisa explained that she’s always seen herself as the type to run toward danger, not away from it. But this time, something in her just shut down, and it left her shaken to the core.
She said she wasn’t trying to judge anyone who panics at the moment, but this wasn’t like her. Carla tried to reassure her, saying she was being way too harsh on herself. But Lisa wasn’t only thinking about her own feelings, she told Carla that her team relies on her, and she’s worried she might not be able to go back to being the same officer they count on. While all this is going on, Carla and Lisa are supposed to be moving into No. 6 after Debbie withdrew her offer on another place.
But Lisa didn’t seem excited about the move at all, which only added to Carla’s concern. Carla ended up talking to Ryan about what had happened. She told him she’s never seen Lisa like this before, and it’s scaring her. She said she can’t just sit by and watch the woman she loves slowly fall apart. So what happens now?
