Todd thought his romance with Theo was finally turning a corner in Coronation Street, but one awkward dinner and a strange face from the past is all it takes to stir up old fears. And just like that, the cracks start showing.
All Smiles Until That Strange Comment
Todd’s been feeling hopeful lately, something we don’t see often with him. He told Billy how much things have changed with Theo, even saying that Theo seemed more confident in himself and had brought up the idea of moving in together. For once, it looked like Todd might be heading toward something solid.
But Billy’s ears pricked up when he overheard Theo chatting to a former colleague and casually mentioned being in a relationship, with a woman. That didn’t sit right.
Billy pulled Theo up on it, and Theo admitted he wasn’t honest with the guy, claiming it was just to avoid awkwardness with someone who wouldn’t understand. He insisted his relationship with Todd was genuine.
Then things took an even stranger turn. Todd and Theo were having a quiet evening at the Bistro when a man named Noah suddenly showed up. Theo clearly knew him, and the way he spoke gave Todd an odd feeling. Noah handed Theo a leaflet and encouraged him to come to a religious meeting the next day to “save his soul.” Theo politely turned him down, but Todd could already sense something wasn’t right.
What Todd Finds Leaves Him Shaken
The next day, Theo left for the community centre, and Todd couldn’t stop thinking about that leaflet. He picked it up and gave it a proper read, and what he found made his stomach drop. It was promoting “faith healing,” and Todd immediately recognised it as a cover for conversion therapy. Panic set in. He rushed straight to Billy, and the two of them headed over to the centre to find Theo. What they walked into was exactly what Todd had feared.
Noah was leading the session, speaking to vulnerable young people under the guise of religion but it was clearly designed to shame and “correct” them. Then came the most worrying part: Noah told them that Theo was “somewhere safe.” That vague statement was the final straw. Todd’s fear turned into rage, and before he could stop himself, he lashed out and hit Noah.
Trouble Comes Knocking in Coronation Street
Back home at No.11, things escalated fast. A police officer arrived and told Todd he needed to come in for questioning, Noah had reported him for assault. Later, Theo tried to cheer Todd up by planning a quiet movie night. He apologised for everything that had happened and told Todd he was still committed to their relationship.
Theo even brought up the idea of moving in together again, hoping it might give them both something to hold onto. But Todd’s mind was clearly elsewhere. With everything that just happened, the police, the fear, Theo’s past coming back to haunt them, he couldn’t help but wonder if their relationship could survive it.
