Robert Sugden had been going through nightmares after spending time in prison. Victoria told her to seek professional help, but he told his sister that he was not interested in therapy. John heard the conversation and asked what happened. She opened up about Robert’s nightmares, so the medic said that he needed help. John told her that he would tell Liam Cavanagh to talk to Robert.
Before Liam’s visit, the killer John went into Keepers and planted a secret listening device so that he could hear the conversation. When he came, Robert Sugden opened up about his depression and his experience after prison. He was hesitant to get help as he believed that getting help wouldn’t solve his problems. Liam urged him to go for therapy. Thus, Robert agreed to go to the surgery for an appointment.

Meanwhile, as Robert walked Liam out of the place, Ray Walter saw him and came to talk. He was trying to find him earlier, too. Elsewhere, John saw Robert’s reaction when Ray arrived. So he got interested and started overhearing the conversation. Ray asked him whether he had more weed to sell him. However, Robert told him that it was just for one time.
Then Ray reminded him of the cannabis theft. Soap fans know that Robert stole the weed from Mackenzie and Lewis. They were growing it on Moira’s farm. Then John’s half-brother said that Ross and Lewis don’t know about the theft. He told him not to reveal anything as they won’t leave him.
