Jenny’s Time Behind the Bar Comes to an End
Jenny’s recent storylines have shown her stepping back from the Rovers. After everything that happened with Daisy Midgeley, Jenny seemed ready for a new chapter. That story direction makes sense now since actress Sally Ann Matthews has confirmed her departure from Coronation Street.
She posted on Instagram that she originally planned to stay for five months but ended up staying ten years because she loved it so much. Now, she feels it’s the right time to move on and take on new roles. She thanked the Corrie team for all the memories and laughter. With Jenny leaving, the pub is without a landlady. It looks like the show has plans for someone else to step in soon.
Coronation Street:nEva Price Expected to Return
According to The Sun, Coronation Street is bringing back Eva Price later this year. She’s expected to take over the Rovers. Catherine Tyldesley, who played Eva until 2018, is set to start filming her return scenes next week. The show hasn’t officially confirmed her comeback yet, but earlier this year, Tyldesley said she had been asked to return several times.
Eva explained that she couldn’t come back before because she was busy with other work, but she always looked back on her time at Corrie fondly. She also mentioned that if the story was right and the timing worked, she would be happy to return. Now, it seems like we will get the old Rovers energy back on the soap. Can’t wait to see.
