John has been feeling down since Irene left town in Home and Away. To cheer him up, his friends invite him on a camping trip. At first, it seems like a lighthearted escape filled with laughs and good company. But as the night sets in and the bush grows quiet, the fun takes a chilling turn that John doesn’t see coming.

John’s Spirits Get A Boost

After Irene’s farewell, John has struggled with loneliness. Mali noticed how low his mate had become and stepped in with a plan. With Tane also keen for a distraction from his own issues with Harper, the pair decided a camping trip was just what John needed. The effort touched John, who felt grateful that his friends had rallied around him.

HAA/ All goes on a camping trip

Actor Shane Withington explained that his character loved the support and made the most of the car ride by sharing plenty of naval stories before settling in for what he thought would be a relaxing break. But the reality of camping wasn’t as easy as John hoped. His naval service didn’t help much with putting up a tent, and Tane soon fell victim to a prank that left him thinking he had eaten kangaroo droppings. The joke gave the group a good laugh, but the mood would soon shift.

Home and Away: A Night of Fear In the Bush

When the sun went down, Mali began sharing traditional Indigenous stories. While the others enjoyed them, John grew unsettled. Shane explained that his character didn’t realise Mali was setting him up with the legend of the “Hairy Man.” Strange noises in the bush added to his worry, and by the time he crawled into his sleeping bag, John was already spooked.

The night offered little rest. Odd sounds outside kept John awake, and by morning he was exhausted. He rushed through breakfast, eager to pack up and head home before anything else could happen. Mali and Tane watched with amusement as John hurried along, though Mali reassured him he would keep an eye out. Shane added that John was simply happy to return to familiar surroundings after such a fright.

Elsewhere in Summer Bay…

While John faced a night of fear, Lacey was dealing with turmoil of her own. Still grieving the loss of her mother and unable to mend her relationship with sister Jo, she began to think about leaving Summer Bay altogether. She carried anger towards Jo for driving the car during the accident and resented her father David for protecting her.

HAA/ What will Theo decide?

Tensions worsened after a barbecue at the home Irene had sold them. The family’s grief boiled over, and Lacey admitted she longed for a complete family but couldn’t move forward with unanswered questions. Jo’s inability to remember what happened that night only made things harder. Confiding in Theo, Lacey suggested that they leave town together. Her proposal stunned him, as it would mean saying goodbye to his Aunt Leah and Uncle Justin.

Theo now faces a tough choice: follow his heart and leave with Lacey, or stay loyal to his family. Whatever he decides will change everything. Stay tuned to Soap Opera Daily for all the latest Home and Away spoilers and updates.
