A Surprise Proposal and an Unexpected Lead
Lisa took a break from the investigation to pull off a bold proposal to Carla Connor. Sirens rang out near the factory, causing a bit of panic. Carla and the machinists rushed outside, only to find Lisa in full police uniform, standing with a ring in hand. She got down on one knee and asked Carla to marry her. Carla said yes, and the pair set off to share the happy news. Their first stop was Roy’s café. Roy was delighted, and Kit Green, who was also there, congratulated the couple before asking Lisa for a quick chat.
He mentioned that Logan Radcliffe’s uncle had been brought in. Lisa quickly warned him not to waste time, Logan had already given Carla a useless lead about Tia Wardley. Kit looked surprised. After hearing that, he headed back to the station to do some checking of his own. He called the prison and found out Logan had been placed in segregation after a fight, not long after Carla visited him.

Later, Kit sat alone at his desk, looking into Logan and Tia on the system. He didn’t get far before DI Costello showed up and told him to head home, it was past his shift. The timing felt off. Kit didn’t let it go. He found Lisa again at the Rovers, where she was celebrating her engagement with Carla and friends. He told her straight, he thinks DI Costello might be involved in something shady.
Lisa was rattled but said she’d had too much to process and needed to sleep on it. She told him they’d talk properly at work the next day. Meanwhile, Costello was already a step ahead. Back at the station, he made a call and said Kit had been asking questions about Tia Wardley. He added, “Got a feeling DS Swain has been whispering in his ear. She’s getting a bit too close for comfort.” Before hanging up, he said, “It’s okay, I’ll deal with Swain myself.”
Things are clearly heating up behind the scenes. Kit’s digging has raised alarms, and now both he and Lisa might be in danger.
