John grows increasingly unsettled by how quickly Irene’s house sale is moving along. He voices his concerns, but Irene remains firm in her decision to leave the Bay.

When Irene settles on a price with the real estate agent, John snaps. He lashes out and declares he wants nothing more to do with the situation. Alf, however, urges him to stand by Irene when she needs his support most.
