Alex Walkinshaw, who plays Ross, says the moment he found Vicki had been injured was a nightmare for the family. Ross had an argument with his son Joel over his behaviour. And after that, he went outside the house to cool down. Elsewhere, Vicki was left alone with the troubled teen at home.
After some time, when he returned, he found Vicki was missing. She had even left her phone behind. Ross got panicked, and he later learns that she had been taken to the hospital. Walinshaw said that he doesn’t want to believe that Joel could do something so horrifying. He further explained that all Ross wanted to do was to speak with Vicki and find out the truth. However, he is completely heartbroken. Ross couldn’t believe that his own son was responsible for Vicki’s condition.
However, for weeks, we saw the warning signs. Joel had been obsessed with some online influencers. His extreme hate towards women also worsened. Ross let it slide, not seeing how badly social media can mess with someone’s head. And so he was not prepared for anything like this. However, this attack shook him.
