When Shona left the soap, it was a huge moment. However, viewers knew that her journey made sense. She had been through so much, so walking away was the best for her character. The time is now to have a life that speaks, that is loud, that is proud, and that is unapologetic.”
Shona has not ruled out a comeback to EastEnders altogether. The actress mentioned that if an appropriate plot were there, she would return. “I would completely go back to EastEnders – it is 16 years of making a family, I was raised on that show. I have a good rapport with everyone, the doors are open, but not yet at the moment.”
